Meet Dr. Krug
There is an incredible satisfaction that comes from being an orthodontist. Every day I am helping people smile more! Having a healthier, beautiful, and more functional smile only helps our patients' self-esteem.
Education and Continuing Education
I received my dental degree from the University of Pennsylvania, and spent three years further studying orthodontics and craniofacial orthopedics at Vanderbilt Medical Center. During my final year of residency, I served as chief resident!
In my line of work, a continuing education is essential in order to know that what we do for our patients is the best available treatment. This is why I am an avid reader of scientific literature and frequently attend continuing education courses. I am also involved with research and publishing papers. As an active and respected member of the orthodontic field, I am also the chairman of the New Jersey Association of Orthodontists Ethics and Bylaws Committee.
Our Practice
I love helping to create happy confident smiles! Orthodontics is unique because no two patients require the same treatment. It is constantly stimulating to plan unique treatments for each patient. I enjoy that each day brings new challenges as well as new friends to my practice.
Our patients are fantastic! They understand that they have a very active role in achieving a beautiful smile. When their treatments are done, my patients truly feel that a part of the accomplishment is theirs.
Our patients, from old to young, always seem to enjoy the lively and fun atmosphere in the office. Our practice is such a fun place to be! Sometimes patients don't want to leave at the end of their appointments. Our reception area is stocked with video games, a hockey table, toys for younger children and siblings, and an exotic fish tank.
There are always contests going, but the most enjoyable part of our office is the warm, caring, and very fun Krug Orthodontic team members. In addition to being outgoing and caring people, my staff is incredibly well trained. Our assistants have all received advanced education in sterilization, radiation safety, and patient care. They have passed multiple exams and are thoroughly competent in orthodontic treatment.
Family Life
I am originally from San Francisco, but love living in Lakewood. My beautiful wife, Yaffa, and I have eleven amazing children. I love spending time with my family. We can often be found outdoors hiking, camping, or just playing a game of family baseball. I am very involved with my children’s schools. I am also active in several local organizations and my synagogue. In my spare time, I am an amateur magician!
Dr. Krug also won the 2005 international wire-bending contest for orthodontists; make sure you see his work when you come to the office.
